Hi, I'm Brooke.


I'm an ice cream-loving photographer based in Berks County, Pennsylvania. My photography journey started about 15 years ago. I took classes that taught me the basics of photographing and developing images using film. But photography wasn't what I thought I'd be doing now! If you asked me back in second grade, I would've told you that I wanted to be a teacher, own a horse, and have a family when I grew up. I ended up going to college to become a teacher and taught elementary school. That little second grader's dream came true!


Well, life throws some curves and blessings to help us grow and that's just what happened. There was a time not too long ago that the dream of having a family was in question. With a lot of faith and patience, my husband and I welcomed our son. Our life completely changed! (Any parents reading this - you know!)


So, how did I get here - serving my community as a photographer? In college and during my teaching years, I practiced and learned more about photography. I officially began Storms Photography in 2017. Teaching my first graders during the week and photographing sweet families on the weekend was my schedule for several years. After nearly a decade of teaching, I decided to resign and focus on my family and photography. It's been such a blessing!

My journey has helped me see the beauty in the chaos and appreciate the ebb and flow of life. My focus is to serve you and show you the magic that's always there-- in the little details, the seemingly small moments, the hard seasons, the joyous moments-- in your beautiful story.

P.S. I'm still hoping to own that horse one day!

The Youngs Family

We used Storms Photography for a newborn shoot and it couldn’t have been a more enjoyable and peaceful experience! Brooke was such a calming presence which was super helpful for an anxious first time mama like myself. She went with whatever the baby was doing. All of the poses and direction given felt very natural and “us” which translated into incredible pictures. Brooke is so professional, sweet, and thoughtful and it was such a pleasure to work with her!
